31 Days of Deeds

Have I really been gone from blogland for 4 months? I must admit it was a nice change. Sometimes blogging can feel like a chore and not the creative cathartic outlet I want it to be. From time to time I considered picking it up again, but I usually picked up a book instead and along the way I read a quote by Rumi; Let the beauty you love be what you do. There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the earth. It posed the question- How was I going to kneel and kiss the earth?

I had an idea. What if I did a good deed? And then the idea grew. What if I did a few good deeds? After a few minutes it metastasized. What if I did a good deed every day for a month? It may not be a 1000 ways to kneel and kiss the earth, but it's 31 and that's a start. It's also a great reason to end the blog hiatus.

I will do a good deed every day for 31 days. Some small. Some large. Some planned in advance. Some sought out or placed in my path. Along the way I hope to throw some positive vibes out into the universe, improve my karma a little and maybe one of my good deeds will be paid forward {fingers crossed}. I might even have a little fun along the way too.
